When it is all over, choices will be extreme but the old normal should not become the new normal again. We should remember the clear sky, empty streets, clear rivers, and also that the virus accidentally opened a window to a world that was all about the deterioration of day-to-day life at a standstill, anxieties around the disease and the future have been heightened. A concept being explored by the corporate world as an alternative to the lockdown is ‘working from home’. It shines a light on reducing the carbon footprint. We have learned that as communities and as individuals, we change best when we are affected as individuals when our sense of freedom and our quality of life is at stake and the virus has taught us that we as a species can change real fast.
